Kukup
Received an sms from my ex colleague last night to organise a trip to Kukup. The last time we had a short getaway is when Favian was 2 month old. And we sure had truck loads of fun as the company was great ! My sweet hubby agree almost immediately since the date was right after my exams so treat it as
a post exam retreat. Praying hard that the trip would go on as plan as I hardly had chance to go overseas with my own frens or a short getaway.

Kukup is a small fishing village located about forty kilometres southwest of Johor Bahru, in the district of Pontian, Johor, on the Strait of Malacca in Malaysia. It is famous for its open-air seafood restaurants built on stilts over the water. Some of the restaurants are geared for tour groups, and it is particularly popular with tourists from Singapore. Regularly scheduled ferries connect Kukup with Tanjung Balai in Indonesia.[Source:Wikipedia] Looking really forward to November for a fun trip to end the eventful year ! Labels: Travel

Taiwan 5/11/10 - 9/11/10
I am finally back after all the unpacking, washing (I still have half undone laundry in my laundry bag -_-) , transiting from HK to Taiwan and Taiwan to HK (very interesting transit but its a complete waste of time ) . Very tiring trip as we spent most of our time on the bus travelling to one place for 1.5 hours only to spend about an hour there and heading to another destination after that. I din manage to cover the whole of Taiwan quite expected as what can I expect for 5 days ? but did understand quite abit of it and the food is fantastic !! Hubby and I were stuffed til our throats every night with their road stalls. We were really impressed as food just tasted fantastic everywhere even at the most insignificant road stalls. Koi has no queue in Taiwan as basically everywhere is selling fantastic bubble tea and they are at like SG$2 for every large cup ! It makes me feel like an idiot buying Koi in SG but will still do it lah or else will spend even more going all the way to Taiwan right ? But Hubby said we shall start planning a free & easy trip to Taiwan again. Yippie !

Taiwan 2010
Finally it has been confirmed ! Hubby is bringing me far far away this November :) We are going to Taiwan ! Although the initial plan was to go Hong Kong for a short and budget trip. But Hubby decided to pamper ourselves since we had been good parents and had not travelled for 3 years already. (My last far far away trip was our Honeymoon trip to Japan.) After we booked the package, he was abit worried and asked me " Are you unhappy that we are going Taiwan since we were actually planning for Hong Kong? " I was dumbfounded. How sweet was he ! I told him " Of course not ! I am already on cloud 9 when you promise to bring me out of SG. Anywhere in the world is fine with me (except india or blangadesh lah) ! " But we decided to be bad parents and leave our boy to my in laws. Hubby is reluctant to bring him overseas at such a tender age. So sorry baby. Mummy will compensate you by doing more shopping on your behalf. (Fortunately my old man don't read my blog, or else he would go and cancel the package after reading this paragraph.) Hee. Disney Wonders
As you can see I just change my blog skin (yet again) to a more childish theme. It is inspired by my little boy since he had been treating his baby mickey nicer than his mum (yes I am jealous! ) and anyway this blog is mostly about myself and him hence Mickey fits the bill so well ! Since I started the topic on mickey, shall post some happy pics associated with Mickey. My Idols since I was a little girl and I still admire them, cos they live happily ever after since 1928. Everlasting 银幕情侣. I finally get to meet Mickey in person during our honeymoon. And we very much want to introduce him to Favian in person when Favian gets older. Disneyland is really a wonderland. It just makes everyone regardless young or old feels so happy when you are in it. (Even though u take forever to queue for a ride) I really miss the magical castle. And the fun of wearing silly headbands walking around the wonderland without getting funny stares. I think we should start saving up for Favian's wonderland trip as Mama can't wait to visit the wonderland and the Land of Rising Sun again ! Labels: Mummy Bean, Travel, Wishlist |
