Part time maid
I am disturbed by a sudden call this evening.
It was my part time maid. Let us called her Maid A.
Maid A called me regarding my best friend whom stayed just a street away from me. She said my friend's original part time maid (Let's call her Maid C) went back to china for an urgent operation hence my friend requested her to come for weekly cleaning at her place. However today, her husband called her and told her that the timing doesn't fit their family hence he said they would get another part time cleaner instead of her. She was furious and called me to demand me to find out from my friend why she wasn't given the assignment and start telling me long stories and say she suspected they gave the job to Maid B (my ex part time maid whom isn't very good with cleaning but she is a lady with lil words). She said she wanted the job as her place is an easy job and she doesn't want Maid B to benefit so ask me to persuade my friend to give her the job.
I was actually rather furious why did she involve the both of us in their assignment feud. But since she is coming to clean my house tomorrow and I need to give her an answer, I called my friend to understand the whole matter.
When my friend called Maid A , this Maid A say she has lots of assignment on hand and couldn't give a weekend slot to my friend. Hence she requested to clean her house on a weekday. But my friend prefer weekend as her husband and her would be at home to monitor her progress. She rebuked my friend and say since her mum is not working, why can't she come on a weekday and she can't confirm on the timing as she got lots of assignment on hand and she need to fetch her grandchildren from school. Anyway my fren decided to try her out last thursday even though she had done relief cleaning for Maid C when she was away. Maid A came her house , spent half an hour talking to her mum, did a slip shot vacumming and even brought a packet of bee hoon and started eating in their kitchen in the midst of cleaning. My fren was really upset with her and decided to give the assignment to Maid B since Maid A claims that she had loads of assignment on hand ever since Maid C went back to China. And if the claims are real, why did she need to bother to miss call me 4 times and called my husband to ask whether I am with him, just to make me call my friend and speak nice words of her ?
And I am pretty upset as apparently this stupid Maid A go and tell my friend's mum that I might look nice on the outside actually I am a backstabber and tell tales about me to my friend's mum. My friend is really upset over this matter as Maid A is so scheming to backstab me infront of my best friend.
Hence I decided to send her off after tomorrow since she has loads of assignments on hand and she always commented that my house is filled with dust and difficult to clean. ( where I got two empty rooms, one unused toilet- how dirty or difficult could it be ? ) If my house is spick and span, why would I still need a part time cleaner in the first place ?
And my mind is set if she dare to make any more comments tomorrow, I would definitely rebuke her and not be the Mrs Nice anymore !
