Double Boiled Pear

I had been sick since last thursday. It started with a bad throat and goes on to a persisting cough. Hence I suspected I got the 100 days cough and my GP affirmed it by telling me my cough might take 3 months to get well. *faints* Being a SAHM, it is very frustrating to be sick and to take care of an active toddler hence I am desperate to get well.

My facebook friends told me about this remedy on Double Boiled Pear. Decided to give it a try since western medicine doesn't seem to have any effect on me.

I went to Eu Ren Sheng and told them I want to cook Double Boiled Pear and they just gave me this whole packet which contain all the essential herbs I need.

Placed everything into the double boiler.

And I have my double boiled pear after two hours. It is so sweet and soothing I don't even need to add any rock sugar.

And the best part is my throat actually felt alot better today.

Ego Centric

This is the 2nd week for Favian in class.

Been having alot of problem with him for the past 2 lessons.

1) Refused to share.
He refuse to share toys, props and to wait for his turn to play the toys in school. I think he hates it so much til he show symptoms of reluctance to go into class and not willing to join in the group activity.

2) Refused to let go.
He refuse to return the toys back to his teachers after play and if I try to snatch it from him, he would make a din, roll on the floor and cry like nobody business disrupting the lessons.

3) On the go
He been on the go in class meaning when the rest are sitting down on the floor mat, he walks around to explore the classroom environment. And I had a hard time getting him to join in the group activity unless he showed particular interest to certain section, he would be really attentive.

Now Daddy & I are in a dilemma now. Because next week would be his last two lessons, hence we are wondering whether to let him continue for another term since if we take him out now he would be even more ego centric and the distance is a killer for me. As I need to wake up 7 am to prepare for his 11 30 am class. But if we let him continue and push him too hard, would he hate school environment in the future ? And it would be even harder for us to bring him to classes and etc.

Hence we are back to square one.

*shakes head*

Sunday's Dinner

Usually our Sunday would be packed with in laws and mum's visiting. But this Sunday we managed to have a break (thanks to my cousin's wedding in JB) , Mummy is back in JB and Favian had gone for his grand daddy and mummy visiting on Sat when we were away for the congress.

I decided to try something simple for dinner since it is suppose to be my off day.

Sushi Tei inspired Crab Meat Fried Rice.

Hubby told me there will be one less dish to order at Sushi Tei from now on.

Fried Kway Teow

Did a healthier version of Fried Kway Teow and Hubby rated 9.9 & asked for more.

The greatest joy of cooking is to see your love ones enjoying it.

Oh and I finally took out the corelle dishes to camwhore. But it still looks the same since 80% of the prints had been covered up.

Koi Cafe

I been hearing alot about this Koi Cafe. Seeing facebook posts, statuses, blogs. Hence I got curious and bugged hubby to bring me down to AMK and search for the long heard but never try before Koi.

We got a shock when we saw the queue initially. We thought people are queuing up for 4D or Toto. ha. Anyway I tried the Grass Jelly Milk Tea. The grass jelly is as good as Gong Chai ! I love the texture in the mouth. Yumz !

It is worth the wait and ended our day with a smile.

P.S: Hubby say he is going to bring me back again to satisfy my craving.

How do I define you ?

I think I had enough of being Miss Nice.

From now on, if that's what u think , I am no long guilty, couldn't care less about you.

I am not a saint so please don't expect me to give and there is no rewards !

I wonder how do I define our relationship now ?

Learning.

First official lesson for my dear boy today.

Mummy is still coping well except its a mad rush for me in the morning to cook an early lunch for my prince and getting him & myself ready for school.

Spot the anti social kid ?

He loves to wander around the class disturbing his classmates and joining in the crowd once in a while. But I can see he is enjoying himself and its really a good way to deplete this never ending Duracell. He took his nap right after the class, on the way home and slept his whole afternoon away while Mummy is busily catching up with Auntie Serene whom came for a visit.

Notice a slight difference in him today. He learnt to sit in with the class for tea break which he didn't actually bother doing it for the trial class. So I guess my lil boy is beginning to pick up some social skills.

Mummy will monitor & decide next week whether he is going to continue for term 2.

=)
