Buggy

Finally bought a cheap light weight buggy for Favian as he would be starting playgroup soon in September and I might need to bring him to school by bus which would be a killer for me if I bring the Combi stroller along.

Although much to Hubby's reluctance ( as he swear by his Combi stroller), he still gave in to buy this to spare my back from further agony by carrying him around. :)

Thanks Hubby !

Friends Reunited

I think these two are one of Favian's first friends he make. They are the grandchildren of my in laws neighbours whom always came over to play with him when I was still a working Mummy. How time flies ! All of them are in the toddler stage now. The girl is Alicia whom is just 2 hours older than Favian. What a coincidence ! The boy name is Nathaniel , he is 3 months older than Favian. But Favian had been a big terror that both of them are afraid of him and gave him all their toys ! *shakes head*

Saw the lil terror in action.

"Give me your toys now !!! "

爱心早餐

Today is that once in a blue moon day that I woke up at 6 30am to prepare 爱心早餐 for Hubby.

Even my egg turned heartshaped ! (Because NTUC only sell heartshaped egg mould . :p)

The effort is all worthwhile seeing his smile while enjoying the breakfast.
(He was as happy as the potatoes above ! )

French Beans Craze

Lately Hubby and I had fallen in love with french beans. It started with me first as when I was preggie with lil boy I had a strong craving for long beans. Although my nick is mummy bean, the most hated food in my dictionary are beans. I don't like corns, peas, long beans and whatsoever beans except red beans and green beans. But it all changed after I got pregnant. I started to crave for chilli long beans and after I gave birth, I suddenly dislike long beans but fell in love with french beans. Recently Hubby was influenced by me too and we started to add french beans to our fried rice, omelette or sambal french beans. Hence I tried to influence lil boy to join in the craze but he was rather reluctant and our dear beans always end up on the floor.

But lately he finally join in the craze after numerous attempts by me, now he ate the french beans in his porridge, rice or even bee hoon.

Now should think of new vegetable to introduce to him again.

Dinner menu

I had been a very hardworking SAHM for this two month. Been cooking dinner daily and also preparing lunchbox for Hubby. While maybe some of you are thinking what is the big deal but it has been quite a battle for me since it is definitely quite a task to cook and keep an eye on an active toddler around the house without any help. The cooking and washing had almost killed me. But I am glad I am able to perservere and would try to come up with more new menu to surprise my tire Husband.

Herbal Fish with Fresh Huai Shan and Wolfberries

Cereal Fish ( although the cereal looks abit overcooked here)

Green Pepper with Chicken Fillet ( nothing unusual about this dish but I love the bright green colour of the green pepper. The picture is good for our eyes. :p )

Fastest Baby Contest

Daddy had signed Favian up for the Fastest Baby Contest tomorrow in Downtown East. Well nothing much to be excited about just treat it as bringing him down for some fun and family time at Downtown East. Surprises happen when you least expected. But we did discuss about the tactics to make him run faster that is restrict him on the pram all the way til the contest starts. Haha. We realise this is the only time he run away with all his might. :p Looking forward to the race tomorrow.

Gambatei nei my lil boy ~~!

ASOS

Lately I been ogling at the dresses at ASOS.

And the best part is they are all in UK sizes.

No fear for plus size girls.

Many times I nearly submitted my orders since they got direct shipment which make the whole online affair much easier compared to Topshop or Dorothy Perkins.

Trying hard to exercise some self control.

Perhaps should wait til I am back to the workforce before I start on this ASOS spree.

Sigh !

Filial Piety

I really wonder how do u define filial piety ? Bringing big bucks home to give parents but need not care about their well being does that mean that this person is fullfilling filial piety ? Or being there for your parents when they are in need is more than enough to show your care and concern ? I think different people has different ways of being filial to their parents and I felt ridicule to actually have to be pressured to do certain things out of my means and making everyone unhappy jus to fulfill the so called filial piety as a show to everyone.

I don't need anyone to tell me what to do or use religion or karma to force us to do certain things. Being force to do things that you are unwilling does not do us any good but only make the whole situation uglier.

I count my blessings each day

"I just want to say I may not have any extra qualifications like some, I may not have model like figure (I am definitely not one who is that blessed) , I may not excel in career like some others too or earning big bucks at my age but I own a simple life that is happy and simple enough that I count my blessings each day and am thankful for that." - Mummy Bean

Spongebob Crocs

Auntie Serene bought this for the lil boy as its a new arrival. And most importantly, he pestered us to go back to the shop to look at the shoes. When Auntie Serene asked him do you know what is shoe shoe ? He lifted up his feet and showed her ! We both had a good laugh ! We went back to the shop and he immediately pointed to the direction where this pair of baby is hanging and kept on nodding his head ! So Auntie Serene say looks like it is so hard to reject his request.

Thank you Auntie Serene for the spoiling the lil boy.

Now he has a pair of happy spongebob on his feet ! :)

咕噜肉

Been longing to make this dish for Hubby to try. However Hubby is not keen on it as 咕噜肉 is using 五花猪肉 part and he find it too fatty. Hence inspired by Cook.Bake.Love I used minced meat instead and pan fried the meatballs instead of frying. The only complaint from him is its not crispy enough. Man ! They are so hard to please at times.
